Real Drones. Real AgTech. Real Careers.

This isn't a slideshow about drones — it's a hands-on exploration of precision agriculture technology, designed to spark genuine interest in STEM, agri-tech, and emerging industries for the next generation of WA workers.
🎓

DJI Certification — School Pathway

The only DJI Certification pathway in WA designed exclusively for school students. Content is paced across a full semester — one session per week — so students absorb and apply each topic before sitting the final assessment.

🛸

Live DJI Hardware Demonstrations

Students interact with real DJI enterprise drones during live field demonstrations. They see exactly what professional operators do in the field — not simulations or videos.

🗺️

Mission Planning & Operations

Students learn how professional operators plan real-world missions — route design, airspace approvals, safety procedures, and post-flight reporting. Operational thinking built from the ground up.

🌾

AgTech Industry Insight

Students learn how Western Australia's agricultural sector is being transformed by drone technology — from precision spraying and crop mapping to early disease detection and data-driven farm management.

📍

Metro & Regional Delivery

We come to your school — metro Perth or selected regional WA locations. Alternatively, schools can book a visit to our Perth demonstration facility for an immersive field experience.

🚀

Career Pathways — 8 Industries

Dedicated sessions explore how drones are used across agriculture, emergency services, construction, environmental science, film, mining, geospatial mapping, and defence. Students leave knowing exactly where drone skills can take them.

FUTURE CAREERS

Where Can Drones Take You?

Drone technology is reshaping virtually every major industry — and the careers that come with it are only just beginning.

🌾

Agriculture & Precision Farming

Variable-rate spraying, crop health mapping, NDVI analysis, and autonomous irrigation. One of Australia’s fastest-growing sectors for drone operatorsp>

🚒

EEmergency Services & Search & Rescue

Police, fire, and rescue services use drones for rapid aerial assessment, missing person searches, flood mapping, and hazmat surveillance without putting crew at risk.

🏗️

Construction & Infrastructure

Site progress monitoring, building inspections, volumetric surveys, and 3D structural modelling — safer and more cost-effective than traditional manual inspection.

🌿

Environmental Science & Conservation

Wildlife population surveys, illegal clearing detection, research-grade spectral sampling, reforestation seeding, and coastal erosion monitoring.

🗺️

Survey, Mapping & Geospatial

High-precision photogrammetry, LiDAR elevation mapping, and GIS data collection for government, engineering firms, and land management agencies across Australia.

🎥

Film, Media & Broadcasting

Aerial cinematography for feature film, documentary, live broadcast, event coverage, and commercial advertising — one of the most visible drone applications globally.

⛏️

Mining & Resources

Stockpile volume measurement, haul road inspection, blast fragmentation analysis, and pit mapping across WA’s massive mining and resources sector.

🛡️

Defence & Public Safety

Border surveillance, tactical reconnaissance, logistics support, and disaster response coordination across Australian Defence and law enforcement agencies.

School Drone Program introduces students to all eight industries.

Dedicated career sessions, industry case studies, and real operator insights give students a genuine picture of where drone skills can lead.

PRICING

School Program — Semester Enrolment

$3,000 per student covers the full 10-week program — one session per week across a school semester. Group enrolment discounts are available for larger cohorts. Because this is a semester commitment — not a single visit — schools should plan enrolment ahead of term start. Places per intake are limited.

Common School Program Questions

Can you come to our school, or do we need to travel to your facility?

Both options are available. For incursions, we bring all necessary equipment and deliver the full program at your school grounds — subject to having appropriate outdoor space or sports field for the live demonstration flight. For excursions, schools visit our Perth facility where students experience a more immersive facility environment. Travel costs for regional delivery are factored into school quotes.

What year groups is Module D suitable for?

The program is designed for Years 9–12 and works particularly well with Year 10–12 STEM, science, and technology cohorts. Content can be adjusted for Year 9 groups or dedicated ag-tech elective streams at lower secondary. Contact us to discuss content calibration for your specific cohort.

How does School Drone Program differ from the adult DJI Certification course (Official DJI UTC Certification)?

School Drone Program
is exclusively for Year 9–12 students and runs one session per week across a full 10-week semester. Official DJI UTC
Certification
is a 2-day intensive program designed for working professionals who need rapid certification. School Drone Program
uses a slower, contextualised learning model with more emphasis on career exploration and foundational theory — appropriate for a school setting. Adults seeking DJI Certification should enrol in Module C.

Program content aligns with SCSA’s STEM frameworks across Science (physics of flight, sensor systems), Technologies (drone systems, automation), Mathematics (spatial reasoning, data analysis), and Careers Education. We can provide a brief curriculum alignment document on request for school leadership approval processes.

Is the live drone demonstration safe for students?

Yes. All flight demonstrations are conducted by CASA-licensed commercial drone operators under strict safety protocols. Students are briefed on safety procedures before the demonstration. Appropriate safety distances are maintained throughout, and all DJI aircraft’s built-in safety systems remain active during demonstrations. Aagri-Tech holds public liability insurance for all on-site educational events.
